Description

  • Provide deep functional and process expertise across ledger, accounting, and financial close capabilities.
  • Partner with Finance, Technology, Operations, Risk, and Change teams to deliver controlled, compliant, scalable ledger solutions.
  • Lead general ledger and sub-ledger integration, accounting rules, posting logic, and reconciliation design.
  • Own and maintain ledger process maps, accounting treatment documentation, and end-to-end data lineage from source to GL.
  • Provide guidance on accounting impacts of product and process changes, including booking models, new feeds, and legal entity requirements.
  • Translate Finance requirements into functional specifications and support target operating model and target ledger architecture design.
  • Define and strengthen ledger controls, including completeness, accuracy, timeliness, segregation of duties, and audit trails.
  • Drive improvements to reconciliations and period-end close efficiency, and support operational readiness for change releases.
  • Support regulatory, risk, and governance activities, including audit evidence, walkthroughs, remediation plans, and approvals.
  • Build stakeholder relationships, mentor junior team members, manage dependencies, and escalate material risks affecting financial integrity.

Requirements

  • Deep functional and process expertise across ledger, accounting, and financial close capabilities.
  • Experience working with Finance, Technology, Operations, Risk, and Change teams.
  • Strong understanding of general ledger and sub-ledger integration, accounting rules, posting logic, and reconciliation design.
  • Ability to create and maintain process maps, accounting treatment documentation, and end-to-end data lineage.
  • Experience translating business requirements into functional specifications with traceability from requirement to design to test to sign-off.
  • Ability to assess solution trade-offs and ensure resilience, performance, and auditability in functional designs.
  • Knowledge of accounting standards and regulatory expectations such as IFRS, GAAP, and local requirements where applicable.
  • Experience supporting internal and external audits, risk reviews, and remediation planning.
  • Experience contributing to governance forums such as design authority, change control, and risk acceptance.
  • Experience mentoring analysts or VPs and managing dependencies across multiple workstreams.
