Description

  • Build production-ready solutions using the Canvas SDK, including event-driven handlers and effects.
  • Translate PRDs and customer requirements into maintainable code that addresses healthcare workflow challenges.
  • Create custom plugins and integrations while maintaining HIPAA compliance and clinical documentation standards.
  • Develop reusable components and patterns that speed up future solution delivery.
  • Identify gaps in SDK capabilities and contribute platform improvements through pull requests and feature development.
  • Design new SDK features, developer tools, and utilities that improve internal and external developer productivity.
  • Write technical documentation, integration guides, and reference implementations for complex solutions.
  • Partner with Solutions Consultants to validate technical feasibility and architect optimal approaches.
  • Collaborate with core engineering teams to align customer solutions with platform roadmap and standards.
  • Support customers through technical workshops, debugging sessions, and solution handoffs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 2+ years of professional software development experience with modern web stacks.
  • Demonstrated ability to build end-to-end solutions from requirements to production deployment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and comfort working through ambiguous technical challenges.
  • Proficiency in Python is mandatory.
  • JavaScript/TypeScript and modern frontend frameworks, with React preferred, are a bonus.
  • Experience with API design, event-driven architectures, and plugin-based systems.
  • Strong understanding of software design patterns, testing practices, and code maintainability.
  • Experience with version control, CI/CD pipelines, and modern development workflows.
  • Interest in healthcare technology, with understanding of FHIR and HL7 or willingness to learn quickly.
  • Ability to translate clinical requirements into technical architecture decisions.
  • Builder mentality, collaborative communication skills, growth mindset, pragmatic engineering approach, and customer empathy.
  • Experience building or maintaining SDKs, developer tools, or platform products is preferred.
  • Background in healthcare IT, EMR integrations, or clinical systems is preferred.
  • Familiarity with HIPAA or FDA guidelines for healthcare software is preferred.
  • Prior customer-facing engineering or solutions architecture experience is preferred.
  • Contributions to open-source projects or technical community engagement are preferred.
