Description

  • Own Canopie’s product roadmap, prioritization, and end-to-end member-facing experience across the app, clinical tools, and partner-facing reporting interfaces.
  • Set success metrics and use product and design decisions to improve activation, engagement, retention, and clinical outcomes.
  • Maintain a regular decision-making rhythm with the VP of Maternal Health and keep leadership aligned on priorities and trade-offs.
  • Lead the full design lifecycle from discovery and research through wireframes, high-fidelity mockups, and production-ready specifications.
  • Conduct UX research with members, clinicians, and health plan partners to validate designs and uncover insights.
  • Maintain and evolve the design system to ensure consistency across iOS, Android, and web experiences.
  • Translate clinical program requirements and partner needs into intuitive, accessible user experiences.
  • Partner with engineering during implementation and QA to ensure designs are delivered with fidelity.
  • Support B2B deliverables such as dashboards, reporting tools, and sales demo materials.
  • Write user stories, define acceptance criteria, refine backlog items, and facilitate trade-off discussions with engineering and stakeholders.

Requirements

  • 6+ years building digital products end to end, including 3+ years owning roadmap and prioritization decisions.
  • A strong product-design portfolio showing ownership across complex digital products from concept to shipped work.
  • Experience working in or alongside clinical teams and translating clinical logic into user-facing flows.
  • Exceptional visual design skills across typography, color, layout, and iconography.
  • Strong experience designing for mobile (iOS/Android) and responsive web, including accessibility standards.
  • Experience in digital health, clinical technology, or consumer health products where trust, engagement, and outcomes matter.
  • Proficiency in Figma, including component libraries, auto-layout, and design system management.
  • Experience conducting and synthesizing user research such as interviews, usability testing, and surveys.
  • Understanding of HIPAA-compliant product environments and sensitivity to designing for vulnerable populations.
  • Demonstrated experience writing user stories and managing a product backlog in tools like Linear, Jira, or similar.
  • Direct experience in maternal health, women’s health, or perinatal care (preferred).
  • Experience with B2B2C products serving both enterprise partners and end consumers (preferred).
  • Familiarity with SOC-2 and GovRamp data standards or health plan reporting environments (preferred).
  • Motion design or micro-interaction experience that improves engagement (preferred).
