Description

  • Shape product roadmaps at global team sprints held every six months.
  • Design and improve user experience, including for developer tools and command-line applications.
  • Write high-quality, resilient, and performant code for software used at scale.
  • Develop mastery of key programming languages and Linux system concepts.
  • Engage with users and the open source community through code reviews and issue trackers.
  • Respond to customer issues and build understanding of enterprise requirements.
  • Develop security awareness in software design and implementation.
  • Collaborate with teammates through shared problem solving and pair programming.

Requirements

  • 2025 or 2026 graduate software engineer candidate.
  • Exceptional academic track record from high school and university.
  • Undergraduate degree in Computer Science, Business Informatics, Mathematics, or another STEM discipline with programming courses.
  • Confidence delivering high-quality code in Python, Rust, C/C++, Golang, JavaScript, or Java.
  • Experience with Ubuntu or another Linux distribution.
  • Track record of exceeding expectations and achieving outstanding results.
  • Result-oriented, organized, and able to meet commitments.
  • Personal projects in technology or software engineering beyond the curriculum.
  • Professional written and spoken English.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, curiosity, flexibility, accountability, self-awareness, and reflection.
  • Ability to travel internationally twice a year for company events of up to two weeks each.
  • Upstream open source contributions are preferred.
  • Packaging or Linux distribution contributions are preferred, including Debian, Fedora, Arch, Nix, or similar.
  • Leadership, organization, presentation, writing, or business/commercial interest are preferred.
