Description

  • Develop software in an agile environment using TDD and pair programming.
  • Collaborate with product and design teams to shape application functionality.
  • Lead technical decisions involving application architecture and data-model design.
  • Maintain stable, reliable, and performant application stacks.
  • Deliver high-quality code aligned with business objectives.
  • Lead teams in technical decision-making and mentor engineers.
  • Participate in an on-call rotation and improve system reliability and availability.
  • Use AI developer tools to accelerate development, improve code quality, and automate routine work.

Requirements

  • At least 7 years of production software engineering experience with Ruby on Rails or another open-source language such as Python, Golang, or JavaScript.
  • Staff-level experience providing technical leadership, collaborating cross-functionally, and mentoring engineers.
  • Strong understanding of data structures, TDD, software design patterns, and engineering principles.
  • Ability to lead technical decisions and contribute to application and data-model design.
  • Must reside in the United States.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S.; employer visa sponsorship is not available.
  • Familiarity with AWS services such as EC2, ECS, S3, and RDS is preferred.
  • Exposure to healthcare technologies such as FHIR or HL7 is preferred.

  • Base salary of $200,000–$260,000, based on experience and level.
