Description

  • Lead and nurture client partnerships to create future opportunities for CannonDesign.
  • Develop and maintain positive client relationships throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Communicate design, construction, and project issues clearly to clients and stakeholders.
  • Lead key meetings and presentations and ensure effective written project documentation.
  • Participate in business development efforts and support marketing and office leadership to grow revenue.
  • Manage contractual obligations, scope changes, and client approvals for additional services.
  • Lead project teams to establish goals, work plans, and performance objectives across quality, budget, schedule, innovation, and profitability.
  • Develop, manage, and monitor project work plans, budgets, and schedules using tools such as MS Project and Deltek Project Planning.
  • Oversee the design and documentation process, including implementation during construction.
  • Maintain project records, including documentation of key decisions in the firm’s standard file structure.
  • Own risk mitigation, compliance, and project risk management planning.
  • Manage team workload, mentor staff, and provide constructive feedback and leadership.
  • Support technically sound and innovative planning and design solutions.
  • Monitor work in progress and ensure best-practice standards and procedures are followed.
  • Ensure statutory requirements, QA/QC standards, and technical quality expectations are met.
  • Coordinate work planning with the Project Architect and Quality leader.
  • Participate in contract negotiations with project leadership, the Business Practice Leader, and Legal Team.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction, or a related field is required.
  • Minimum of 10 years of related experience is required.
  • Ability to perform in a project management role for single or multiple projects.
  • Licensure or registration in the United States is preferred.
  • LEED accreditation is preferred.
  • Advanced knowledge in the discipline is required.
  • Business acumen is required.
  • Strong client leadership skills are required.
  • Strong project team management skills, including the ability to manage single or multiple projects, are required.
  • Capability to lead and mentor less experienced staff is required.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills are required.
  • Familiarity with Revit, Microsoft Office, MS Project, Deltek Vision, Bluebeam, and other data management software is required.

  • Must complete mandatory training, including compliance training, within required timeframes and adhere to internal policies and Code of Conduct.
