Description

  • Build, lead, and inspire a high-performing planning team across the firm.
  • Mentor and coach team members to strengthen planning expertise and career growth.
  • Manage team capacity, project needs, and resource alignment with regional directors.
  • Collaborate with practice and project leaders to improve team performance and delivery quality.
  • Advance CannonDesign’s vision for innovative laboratory planning and challenge conventional approaches.
  • Champion new tools, methodologies, and emerging industry ideas within the practice.
  • Lead recruitment efforts and develop strategies to retain and engage planning talent.
  • Promote diversity, equity, and inclusion in team building and talent development.
  • Partner with S&T Practice and Business Development teams to win transformative projects.
  • Represent CannonDesign in client meetings, conferences, industry forums, and thought leadership activities.
  • Generate revenue through business development and participate in billable project work.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Interior Design, Engineering, or a related field required.
  • 15 years of experience in S&T planning preferred.
  • Strong leadership and mentoring capabilities.
  • Deep understanding of healthcare systems, planning methodologies, and design integration.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
  • Experience in business development and client engagement.
  • Demonstrated ability to generate revenue and meet financial goals.
  • Passion for innovation and continuous improvement.
  • Demonstrated thought leadership through writing, speaking, and industry engagement.
  • Ability to provide a resume and portfolio when applying.
