Description

  • Research emerging fuel types for medium- and heavy-duty transportation and prepare internal memos.
  • Support data-collection outreach to operators involved in the Midwest Clean Ports project.
  • Research environmental conditions to inform project resiliency considerations.
  • Develop community engagement strategies for the Midwest Clean Ports project.
  • Support execution of the San Joaquin Valley Clean Ports project.
  • Contribute to statewide strategy development in California.
  • Assist with broader San Joaquin Valley regional office tasks.

Requirements

  • Current undergraduate or graduate student studying transportation planning, environmental planning, community or regional planning, or a related field.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively and manage multiple tasks.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word and Excel.
  • Experience with Microsoft 365 tools, including Teams and SharePoint.
  • Knowledge of zero-emission medium- and heavy-duty vehicles, transportation electrification, charging infrastructure, or energy systems.
  • Interest in regional work and stakeholder engagement.
