Description

  • Monitor links, servers, and network devices to detect and track incidents.
  • Maintain detailed documentation of all incidents and actions taken.
  • Generate status reports for internal IT and Operations teams.
  • Manage incoming calls and coordinate the initial incident response.
  • Liaise with internal IT teams to support effective collaboration during incidents.
  • Report issues to and escalate incidents with third-party vendors.
  • Provide timely updates to stakeholders throughout the incident lifecycle.
  • Work to minimize the operational impact of incidents and restore services as quickly as possible.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Knowledge of IT systems, including Windows, Linux, network equipment, servers, and databases.
  • Knowledge of IT process management and best practices in IT service management.
  • Knowledge of computer networking.
  • Knowledge of IT system authentication methods.
  • Knowledge of tools such as IDS and SIEM.
  • Practical knowledge of incident management frameworks, such as ISO standards.
  • ITIL certification.
  • Risk management training or coursework.
  • CompTIA Security+ certification.
