Description

  • Build new full-stack product features for high-impact enterprise customers.
  • Contribute to platform scaling initiatives as the monolith is decomposed into services.
  • Work with Product and Design to refine requirements and implementation details.
  • Participate in agile ceremonies to plan and deliver team work.
  • Collaborate across squads to improve engineering practices at Calendly.
  • Review implementation plans and pull requests from peers.
  • Mentor and coach other team members.
  • Build tooling and automation to improve the delivery process.
  • Support features and architecture that maintain user confidence in Calendly.

Requirements

  • 4-6 years of professional software development experience in a SaaS or technology-driven environment.
  • Strong hands-on full-stack engineering ability across frontend and backend systems.
  • Experience building and maintaining Node.js services that interface with distributed APIs, LLMs, or similar mixed-stack environments.
  • Hands-on experience with service-oriented architectures (SOA) and microservices.
  • Experience with monolith-to-services modernization or large-scale refactoring initiatives.
  • Ability to own features end-to-end, including discovery, design, implementation, testing, release, and maintenance.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for complex systems and scalable solutions.
  • Commitment to writing clean, reliable, maintainable code with emphasis on readability, simplicity, and performance.
  • Adaptability to new technologies, evolving architectural patterns, and changing priorities.
  • Experience using AI coding assistants such as Copilot or Cursor, with the ability to defend implementation choices.
  • Availability for on-call rotation to respond to critical production issues outside regular hours.
  • Authorized to work lawfully in the United States; Calendly does not offer immigration sponsorship.
  • Experience with Google Cloud Platform, Go, TypeScript, React, PostgreSQL, Redis, Kubernetes, or Rails is mentioned as part of the team’s technology stack.
