Description

  • Act as the embedded clinical expert for two product squads, advising on NHS workflows, care pathways, and patient safety.
  • Review product decisions and feature proposals to assess clinical accuracy, feasibility, assumptions, and risk.
  • Lead or support clinical discovery through interviews, site visits, and workflow observation across NHS and independent sector settings.
  • Synthesize NICE guidelines, NHS England policy, and clinical evidence to inform product direction.
  • Identify unmet clinical needs and product opportunities related to NHS operational pressures, workforce constraints, and pathway inefficiencies.
  • Translate between clinicians, product managers, engineers, and designers to support cross-functional collaboration.
  • Partner with regulatory teams as Clinical Safety Lead to ensure UK clinical safety and SaMD compliance requirements are embedded in product decisions.
  • Support go-to-market and customer success teams with clinical content and NHS implementation guidance.
  • Advise on and project manage clinical implementation in NHS environments, including configuration and change management for staff using systems such as EMIS, SystmOne, and Epic.
  • Contribute to clinical documentation, training materials, onboarding resources, and post-launch feedback loops.

Requirements

  • Post Completion of Core Training (CCT) in General Practice.
  • Minimum 6 years of experience working as a doctor in the NHS.
  • Strong working knowledge of NHS structures, care settings, and frontline healthcare delivery in the UK.
  • Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally in a fast-paced environment and operate effectively with ambiguity.
  • Experience leading clinical discovery with clients and partners, including scoping, recruitment, synthesis, and stakeholder presentation.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain clinical complexity clearly to clinical and non-clinical audiences.
  • Experience with NHS system integrations and EHR workflows, including EMIS and SystmOne.
  • Prior experience in a digital health, healthtech, or clinical informatics role.
  • Familiarity with product development processes such as discovery, sprint cycles, and roadmapping.
  • Exposure to UK regulatory frameworks such as ISO13485, MHRA Class II SaMD, DCB0129/DCB0160, and DTAC is preferred.
