Description

  • Lead Internal Audit’s data analytics, automation, and technology innovation initiatives and help shape the department’s technology roadmap.
  • Design, build, and maintain SQL-based analytical models for audit engagements, including population testing, anomaly detection, trend analysis, and control effectiveness assessment.
  • Embed analytics into audit methodology across risk assessment, planning, scoping, fieldwork, exception analysis, issue impact quantification, validation, and reporting.
  • Drive automation opportunities that streamline audit procedures, improve consistency, and reduce manual effort.
  • Transform raw data from multiple sources into audit-ready datasets and quantified findings.
  • Design and operate the Fraud Risk Radar programme to detect suspicious activity and operational fraud risks in near real time.
  • Develop and maintain continuous monitoring dashboards and automated alert systems for control failures, policy violations, and emerging risks.
  • Investigate and triage alerts, escalate confirmed exceptions, and support forensic or ad-hoc investigations with evidence packaging.
  • Apply advanced analytics and AI/ML techniques to identify patterns, outliers, and emerging risks.
  • Partner with audit, IT, and data engineering teams to define data requirements, secure access, ensure data quality, and support new technology capabilities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Finance, or a related quantitative field.
  • Minimum 6 years of experience in data analytics, including at least 2 years supporting audit, risk, compliance, or financial control functions.
  • Proficiency in SQL is required.
  • Experience with Python or R for statistical analysis is preferred.
  • Hands-on experience building dashboards and visualizations.
  • Familiarity with data warehouse architectures such as Hive, StarRocks, Spark, or similar.
  • Experience with or strong interest in blockchain data analysis, on-chain forensics, or crypto-specific analytics tools is a plus.
  • Understanding of internal audit methodology and control frameworks such as COSO and IIA standards is preferred.
  • Strong problem-solving ability to turn ambiguous business questions into structured analytical approaches.
  • Effective communication skills for presenting complex findings in clear, audit-report-ready language for non-technical stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in Chinese and English for business use.
  • CIA, CISA, or data-related certifications such as Google Data Analytics or AWS Data Analytics are a plus but not required.
