Description

  • Own month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close deliverables, including cash flow statements and dividend declarations.
  • Own treasury operations, including cash forecasting, banking administration, debt management, and cash visibility.
  • Lead intercompany reconciliations and recharge processes across assigned businesses.
  • Coordinate tax compliance obligations, including transfer pricing arrangements and work with external advisors as needed.
  • Support acquisition integration through technical accounting work, including step plans, revenue recognition checklists, and PPA model review.
  • Manage a team of 2–3 people, including delegation, coaching, and development.
  • Identify and implement AI-assisted automation opportunities to reduce manual work and improve efficiency.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to improve reporting quality without creating bottlenecks.
  • Ensure robust internal controls and clean audit outcomes.

Requirements

  • 4–5 years of relevant accounting and financial reporting experience.
  • CPA, CA, or equivalent professional accounting qualification.
  • Manager-level experience overseeing accounting processes and deliverables.
  • Proven people management or team leadership experience.
  • Strong IFRS knowledge, including IFRS 15, IFRS 16, and IFRS 3.
  • Consolidation accounting experience.
  • Advanced Excel skills.
  • Experience using AI tools such as Claude or Copilot to automate finance workflows.
  • Python or Power Query experience is a strong advantage.
  • Strong cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Ability to perform under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • High integrity and personal ethics.
  • Drive to improve processes and systems.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Well organized, detail oriented, and able to work variable hours when required.
  • Experience in both public practice and private industry accounting is strongly preferred.
  • Software industry experience, especially in recurring revenue or SaaS, is strongly preferred.
  • Hands-on experience with NetSuite and Power BI is strongly preferred.
  • Location in Quebec, Ontario, or Alberta (remote).
  • International travel may be required.
  • Variable hours may be required.
