Description

  • Define and execute the vision, strategy, and operating model for research at Buyers Edge Platform.
  • Design scalable research operations across seven product lines with different maturity levels, users, and business models.
  • Establish core research systems and standards, including a repository, intake and prioritization process, governance, quality standards, participant recruitment, and data privacy practices.
  • Partner with design leadership to shape the roadmap and long-term plan for growing research as a strategic capability.
  • Coach and enable the design team through workshops, critiques, office hours, frameworks, templates, and toolkits.
  • Model strong research craft while helping designers confidently own appropriate research work.
  • Lead complex and ambiguous research initiatives that inform product direction and executive decisions.
  • Synthesize insights across products to identify patterns, opportunities, and strategic recommendations.
  • Translate research findings into narratives that drive alignment and action.
  • Partner with Product, Design, and cross-functional leaders to ensure research influences roadmaps and decision-making.
  • Establish research as a trusted strategic voice and advocate for user-centered thinking across the organization.

Requirements

  • 8–10+ years of experience in user research, ideally in B2B SaaS or enterprise software.
  • Experience building research practices, systems, and team capability from scratch.
  • Deep expertise in both qualitative and quantitative research methods with strong judgment on when to apply them.
  • Experience designing scalable research operations, including repositories, panels, governance, and intake processes.
  • Strong coaching and enablement skills.
  • Proven ability to influence product and design strategy through research insights.
  • Comfort with ambiguity and leading without predefined structure.
  • Excellent communication and storytelling skills for technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Strong cross-functional partnership and collaborative leadership skills.
  • Experience in private equity-backed or multi-product environments is preferred.
  • Background in food service, hospitality, supply chain, or similarly complex operational industries is preferred.
  • Experience with multi-sided platforms serving multiple user personas is preferred.
  • Experience growing and managing research teams is preferred.
  • Familiarity with enterprise B2B challenges, such as long sales cycles and complex stakeholder ecosystems, is preferred.
  • Comfort leveraging modern research tools and AI-assisted workflows to improve efficiency and scale is preferred.
  • Must be authorized to work without sponsorship.
