Description

  • Develop high-quality, efficient, well-tested native iOS applications in modern Swift.
  • Collaborate with iOS and Android engineers to clarify ambiguous requirements through iterative problem-solving.
  • Partner with product managers, designers, and clinical professionals to design and deliver medical imaging experiences.
  • Integrate cross-functional features with hardware, cloud, machine learning, device software, and imaging science teams.
  • Maintain and evolve iOS architecture patterns across a complex codebase and internal Swift packages.
  • Break product requirements into actionable engineering tickets and deliverables.
  • Mentor engineers across experience levels.
  • Participate in user research to understand real-world product use.
  • Develop features involving deep learning applications, telemedicine, and Butterfly iQ device integration.
  • Follow company security policies, safeguard data and systems, and report suspected security incidents.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of native iOS application development experience.
  • Strong Swift and reactive programming design-pattern expertise.
  • Strong SwiftUI and UIKit UI development experience.
  • Strong XCTest unit-testing skills and knowledge of UI automation.
  • Demonstrated professional achievement and problem-solving ability.
  • Authorization to work in the United States; Butterfly will not provide immigration sponsorship.
  • Experience with complex application architectures, internal libraries, and Objective-C bridging layers (preferred).
  • Experience with Swift Package Manager and package creation (preferred).
  • Knowledge of graphics rendering or image processing, such as OpenGL or Vulkan, and Python or C++ experience (preferred).
