Description

  • Design and solve distributed-systems challenges with elasticity, reliability, performance, and automated validation in mind.
  • Build cloud-based enterprise solutions using modern technologies and scalable distributed architecture.
  • Own business problems from concept through system design and engineering execution.
  • Develop platform-level enterprise capabilities, including user and organization administration, feature and entitlement management, global search, and audit logging.
  • Lead and mentor engineers to deliver team goals.
  • Work across different layers of the technology stack and problem domains.
  • Follow company security policies, safeguard company data and systems, complete security training, and report suspected security incidents.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience solving distributed systems and web development problems.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
  • Demonstrated experience mentoring engineers.
  • Willingness to work across the stack and in unfamiliar problem domains.
  • Authorization to work in the United States; Butterfly Network does not provide immigration sponsorship.
  • Experience with GraphQL frameworks such as Relay, Apollo, or URQL (preferred).
  • Experience with LLMs and MLOps (preferred).
  • Experience with Docker and orchestration platforms such as ECS or EKS (preferred).
  • Experience with React, TypeScript, live-update technologies such as Redis pub/sub and WebSockets, observability tools, OpenSearch or other Lucene-based search engines, and HIPAA, PHI, and PII compliance (preferred).
