Description

  • Manage the full database lifecycle, including installation, configuration, deployment, upgrades, administration, and operations.
  • Provide senior-level DBA support across multiple operating environments and assist development and operations teams with database structure, requirements, and security controls.
  • Support database high availability, reliability, performance, and process improvements through best practices and automation.
  • Install, configure, upgrade, patch, and troubleshoot Oracle EBS environments across both database and application tiers.
  • Manage Oracle EBS concurrent managers, workflows, and patch application activities.
  • Analyze, tune, and troubleshoot SQL and Oracle EBS performance issues.
  • Review DDL and application code for database-related functionality and correctness.
  • Independently diagnose and resolve database and application issues in real time.
  • Work closely with L1/L2/L3 support teams to identify and resolve recurring or urgent issues.
  • Participate in a 24x7 on-call rotation.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of hands-on Oracle and MySQL database experience in a mission-critical 24x7 environment.
  • Proven experience managing Oracle EBS environments, including installation, patching, cloning, and performance tuning.
  • Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment with an understanding of ITIL.
  • Experience with full database lifecycle management, including upgrades, patching, cloning, backups, and recovery.
  • Experience with automated database deployment using Jenkins, Ansible, or similar tools.
  • Experience creating and maintaining an enterprise data dictionary.
  • Experience with ETL processes.
  • Understanding of Unix operating systems.
  • Preferred: 4+ years of AWS experience designing and supporting hyper-scale mission-critical database architecture.
  • Preferred: 2+ years of proficiency in writing, profiling, and optimizing SQL queries for performance.
  • Preferred: 2+ years of experience creating and maintaining Entity Relationship Diagrams.
  • Preferred: Understanding of data warehouses, data marts, data lakes, modeling, and profiling.
  • Preferred: Strong understanding of Java, AWS Lambda, and development frameworks.
  • Must not require employer sponsorship for work authorization.
