Description

  • Lead, mentor, and train foreign paralegal staff to improve consistency, quality, and efficiency.
  • Independently draft and respond to discovery requests without relying on templates.
  • Develop tailored discovery strategies based on case facts and legal requirements.
  • Prepare jury charges and use them to guide petitions, complaints, and targeted discovery.
  • Draft petitions, pleadings, and complaints for both state and federal court matters.
  • Review discovery records and evidence, and draft motions to compel when needed.
  • Monitor court deadlines and statutes to ensure timely and accurate filings.
  • Assemble comprehensive trial binders and supporting materials for trial proceedings.
  • Draft legal motions and articulate legal arguments with precision.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 10 years of paralegal experience in New York plaintiff personal injury law.
  • Substantial experience handling complex litigation matters.
  • Experience with federal filings preferred.
  • Ability to independently draft and respond to discovery requests from scratch.
  • Ability to develop tailored legal strategies based on case specifics.
  • Experience drafting jury charges and aligning pleadings and discovery to case elements.
  • Strong organizational skills, critical thinking, and attention to detail.
  • Ability to train, supervise, and motivate junior and foreign paralegals.
  • Fluency in both English and Spanish preferred.
  • Comfortable working effectively in a fully remote environment with strong accountability.
