Description

  • Design, build, roll out, and operate features end to end.
  • Break complex problems into incremental changes that reach production quickly.
  • Design resilient systems with reversible migrations, careful rollouts, and effective observability.
  • Investigate technical problems deeply and develop actionable solutions.
  • Participate in the Sweep rotation, supporting incoming issues and collaborating with Support and Solutions Engineering.
  • Contribute ideas to the product roadmap and adjust priorities based on value.
  • Respond to incidents and address emerging operational issues.
  • Communicate technical decisions, findings, and risks clearly to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Pair with teammates, review code, and provide constructive feedback.
  • Use AI tooling to accelerate development while verifying its output.

Requirements

  • Genuine professional experience with Go or Ruby, plus the ability to work across both languages as needed.
  • Demonstrated ownership of production systems, including responsibility for incidents and improvements.
  • Experience building, changing, and shipping software quickly.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently, investigate problems deeply, and take ownership beyond assigned tasks.
  • Experience with Kubernetes and AWS (preferred).
  • Experience with Terraform and infrastructure-as-code practices (preferred).
  • Experience with PostgreSQL, including query optimization, schema design, or operating databases under load (preferred).
  • Experience with React and GraphQL (preferred).
  • Experience with developer tooling, CI/CD, engineering-focused products, or publicly documenting technical investigations (preferred).
