Description

  • Own campaign execution across priority pillars from concept and asset planning through launch and iteration.
  • Build programs that serve both developers and buyers, balancing credibility, clarity, and conversion.
  • Establish and maintain an editorial strategy aligned to Buildkite’s strategic pillars.
  • Manage the editorial backlog, including prioritization, refreshes, and deprioritization decisions.
  • Create governance and standards that keep voice consistent and protect trust.
  • Write high-signal content that aligns Buildkite’s narrative with what developers will respect.
  • Develop narrative threads that support campaigns, launches, sales conversations, and DevRel programming.
  • Collaborate with engineers and technical reviewers to ensure content reflects technical reality.
  • Turn customer proof and engineering material into durable assets and reusable proof packs.
  • Package, distribute, measure, refresh, and retire content based on performance and relevance.

Requirements

  • Proven experience writing for devtools or technical B2B audiences with measurable outcomes.
  • Sharp editorial judgment.
  • Ability to write across multiple content formats.
  • Comfort working with technical reviewers and incorporating feedback without losing clarity or voice.
  • Strong narrative systems thinking.
  • Ability to define success and iterate based on real results.
  • High-agency collaboration.
  • Clear async communication.
  • Experience building an editorial program from scratch is preferred.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD, DevOps, and engineering teams at scale is preferred.
  • Experience shaping customer proof into credible stories is preferred.
  • Comfort working with distribution mechanics is preferred.
  • A portfolio that shows both range and taste is preferred.
