Description

  • Manage assigned projects to meet customer expectations, firm mission and vision, and contractual obligations.
  • Understand project scope, goals, limitations, and customer expectations.
  • Communicate and coordinate with customers, design teams, construction administration teams, contractors, and agencies.
  • Develop project scope of work, proposals, and contracts as needed.
  • Plan project activities, schedules, milestones, and cost projections over time.
  • Establish, communicate, manage, and control project budgets and staffing allocations.
  • Lead and coordinate the project team, consultants, and customer to maintain quality, profitability, and reputability.
  • Practice risk management throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Prepare bid and specification documents, including Instructions to Bidders, General Conditions, Supplementary Conditions, and Division I specifications.
  • Prepare project status reports, maintain documentation and records, and support project closeout.
  • Prepare agreements and purchase orders for outside services and assist with invoicing and accounts payable.
  • Attend construction site meetings, review RFIs, prepare ASIs and PRs, and monitor construction progress as needed.
  • Supervise assigned Project Administrators and assist in mentoring Project Manager Trainees.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, or a construction-related field from an accredited four-year college or university.
  • Minimum of 5 years of related experience in project management duties.
  • Must be a licensed professional engineer or architect.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Windows, Excel, Project, and Word.
  • Ability to perform work requiring independent judgment on complex, non-routine assignments.
  • Experience with construction administration duties, site reviews, and project documentation (preferred/included in role scope).
  • Strong understanding of project budgets, cost/profit projections, and quality control practices.
