Description

  • Manage the day-to-day operations of patient support programs, including oversight of BRDs, contracts, budgets, purchase orders, and vendor KPIs/SLAs.
  • Oversee patient support service vendors such as copay, free goods pharmacy, and hub providers.
  • Assess and continuously improve patient support programs for commercialized products.
  • Implement new patient support initiatives that align with brand strategies and address market challenges.
  • Serve as the day-to-day liaison with field teams, marketing, sales managers, and other stakeholders.
  • Resolve escalation issues involving patient support services vendors.
  • Create and revise tactical patient support materials.
  • Submit patient support materials through the MLR process using Veeva.
  • Act as the subject matter expert for patient support vendor data and marketing data for Commercial Analytics and Commercial IT.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to align on patient support program goals and support brand strategy execution.

Requirements

  • BA/BS degree required; MA preferred.
  • 8-10 years of biotech/pharma and patient support services vendor experience.
  • Direct experience managing patient support services internally or externally is required.
  • Understanding of the specialty market, reimbursement and access challenges, and OIG/CMS/legal guidelines for patient support programs.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to develop sound strategies in response to patient access challenges.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills for cross-functional collaboration.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Travel required: 20-30%.
  • Experience with Veeva for MLR submissions is preferred.
  • Ability to work a U.S.-based remote role with quarterly or as-needed visits to the San Francisco office.
