Description

  • Develop and own Brex’s social media and content strategy across X, LinkedIn, and emerging platforms to drive reach, engagement, and influence.
  • Create and maintain a scalable evergreen content engine that combines product education, thought leadership, customer stories, and culture.
  • Build and manage a content calendar that connects campaign work with high-frequency, platform-native publishing.
  • Engage with founders, customers, and influencers in real time to build affinity through authentic community interaction.
  • Write, edit, and oversee social content including threads, replies, visual storytelling, and brand point of view posts.
  • Collaborate with product marketing, comms, brand, and design to turn complex topics into compelling narratives.
  • Partner with data, PR, and content design teams to activate trending tech and AI topics using data-driven insights.
  • Track performance, analyze insights, and optimize content and engagement strategy based on results.
  • Identify storytelling opportunities across the business, including customer wins, product breakthroughs, cultural moments, and trending news.
  • Lead and develop a Social Media Associate while partnering with CX, ops, and comms on sensitive issues and brand integrity.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in social, content, or editorial roles, ideally in fintech, SaaS, or high-growth tech.
  • Strong editorial instincts and content taste, with a portfolio of social media or thought leadership work.
  • Ability to balance short-term tactics with long-term brand building.
  • Fluency in the language and nuance of tech and fintech social platforms, especially X and LinkedIn.
  • Strong writing skills across formats, from polished posts to reactive replies.
  • Natural community-building ability and comfort engaging in real-time conversations.
  • Experience translating company goals into content strategy that supports business outcomes.
  • Data-informed approach paired with strong instinct and editorial judgment.
  • Ability to operate at all levels, from building content systems to engaging one-on-one with executives.
  • Experience building a brand’s social presence from early stage to scale is a plus.
  • Understanding of founder, fintech, and AI social conversations and thought leaders, especially on X, is a plus.
  • Experience creating content around news or trending topics in the founder, tech, or AI space is a plus.
  • Experience developing or ghostwriting content for a founder or executive is a plus.
  • Experience with community-led campaigns or social-first product launches is a plus.

  • Expected base salary range of $173,568 to $216,960.
  • Equity and other forms of compensation may be included in the total compensation package.
