Description

  • Lead, develop, and scale the Business Affairs function across EMEA.
  • Act as the senior escalation point and subject matter expert for Business Affairs matters.
  • Develop and implement standardized policies, workflows, governance frameworks, and best practices.
  • Provide strategic guidance to Production, Client Services, Legal, Procurement, Finance, Media, and external partners.
  • Lead negotiations covering talent, influencers, contributors, licensing, contracts, and usage rights.
  • Oversee content, talent, music, media clearances, rights approvals, renewals, and extensions.
  • Ensure compliance with territory-specific media regulations, advertising standards, and legal requirements.
  • Support project scoping and pitches with cost estimates, rights assessments, and contract guidance.
  • Identify and mitigate commercial, legal, financial, and reputational risks.
  • Drive operational efficiency, service growth, and consistency across global markets.

Requirements

  • Extensive experience in Business Affairs, Rights Management, Production Legal, Media Compliance, or a related field.
  • Proven experience building and managing Business Affairs teams or functions.
  • Experience supporting advertising, content production, media, marketing, or entertainment businesses.
  • Expert knowledge of talent contracting, intellectual property, licensing, usage rights, and content clearances.
  • Deep understanding of broadcast, digital, social, cinema, DOOH, and emerging media channels.
  • Experience managing complex negotiations and commercial agreements across multiple territories.
  • Strong understanding of international legal, compliance, regulatory, production, localization, and media delivery requirements.
  • Ability to assess and mitigate commercial, financial, legal, and reputational risk.
  • Excellent stakeholder management, communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Commercial mindset with strong financial acumen, organizational skills, and a proactive approach to process optimization.
