Description

  • Measure and optimize the performance, scalability, and uptime of backend services.
  • Demonstrate and promote a culture of engineering excellence.
  • Conduct design and code reviews and raise engineering rigor and standards.
  • Collaborate with product management, customer success, and customer support to improve the user experience.
  • Design cohesive REST APIs and domain-driven services that support service contracts and orchestration.
  • Develop core components within an engineering pod.
  • Work closely with teammates in a collaborative, high-ownership environment.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience building clean, well-architected, distributed, and scalable software.
  • Strong computer science fundamentals, including deep knowledge of data structures, algorithms, and software design.
  • Strong command of Java and Java-based microservices with Spring Boot.
  • Experience designing and supporting customer-facing RESTful APIs.
  • Experience designing and implementing relational database schemas on PostgreSQL, MySQL, Oracle, or equivalent.
  • Fluent with unit and integration testing concepts and tools such as JUnit and Mockito, or equivalent.
  • Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, git-flow, and SonarQube for CI/CD is a plus.
  • BS in Computer Science or equivalent program.
  • Attention to detail and a passion for doing great work.
  • Must be currently authorized to work in the USA without sponsorship or transfer.
  • Remote work must be based within the United States; candidates outside the domestic U.S. are not eligible.
