Description

  • Implement and maintain cloud infrastructure in GCP under the guidance of senior engineers.
  • Help keep cloud infrastructure scalable, secure, and highly available.
  • Build automation to reduce operational toil and improve recovery from production incidents.
  • Troubleshoot infrastructure issues and support observability tools.
  • Help ensure cloud infrastructure meets relevant security and regulatory standards.
  • Contribute to incident response processes, tooling, monitoring, and alerting across the application stack.
  • Collaborate on infrastructure work across the tech organization and support workflow automation projects that connect infrastructure and business processes.
  • Participate in operational team activities, including outage incidents, compliance work, sprint planning, metrics collection, and documentation.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 3+ years of professional experience in cloud infrastructure engineering, preferably in GCP.
  • Familiarity with observability practices such as monitoring, logging, and tracing.
  • Working experience in at least one programming or scripting language such as Python, Bash, Java, or Go.
  • Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Some exposure to network and application security practices or teams.
  • Ability to work in a 24/7 on-call rotation.
  • Comfort using AI tools to accelerate work, including Claude, Copilot, and Gemini in automation workflows.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and Git is preferred.
  • Collaboration experience with Data Engineering teams is preferred.
  • Exposure to automation and configuration management tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or Chef is preferred.
  • Previous experience in a 24/7 on-call environment is preferred.
  • Must be currently authorized to work in the USA without sponsorship or transfer.
