Description

  • Provide remote support, administration, and monitoring for production and demo trading exchange environments.
  • Execute daily operational processing such as contract scheduling, contract settlement, and end-of-day/start-of-day procedures.
  • Triage, troubleshoot, and resolve production incidents while following escalation procedures.
  • Perform root cause analysis and participate in post-incident reviews.
  • Monitor application and system performance and implement tuning recommendations.
  • Support version upgrades, deployments, and release validation with Development and QA teams.
  • Maintain runbooks, SOPs, and operational documentation and manage shift handovers.
  • Investigate and implement tools and scripts to automate and improve operational workflows.
  • Collaborate with Development, QA, Infrastructure, and partner teams on cross-functional issues.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience managing or supporting mission-critical production software applications.
  • Strong working knowledge of Linux server operating systems.
  • Proficiency in scripting and automation using Bash and/or Python.
  • Hands-on experience with SQL and relational databases.
  • Demonstrated incident management and technical troubleshooting skills.
  • Solid understanding of escalation procedures and SLA-driven environments.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and a proactive, ownership-driven mindset.
  • Willingness to work in a 24/7 rotational shift model, including nights and weekends.
  • Background in financial services, fintech, or regulated exchange environments is preferred.
  • Knowledge or experience with options and futures trading markets is preferred.
  • Experience with FIX protocol and trading system applications is preferred.
  • Familiarity with monitoring tools such as Grafana, Zabbix, Splunk, or Logic Monitor is preferred.
  • Experience with messaging and middleware systems such as Kafka, AMQ, or Tomcat is preferred.
  • Working knowledge of high availability systems and clusters is preferred.
  • Hands-on experience with AWS services such as EC2, CloudWatch, and S3 is preferred.
  • Experience with change and release management processes is preferred.
  • Exposure to SFTP or file transfer workflows and monitoring is preferred.
