Description

  • Manage daily accounting activities, including sales, bank, and account reconciliations.
  • Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, inventory, accruals, prepaids, equity, fixed assets, and expense reimbursements.
  • Process and prepare payroll under engagement leader and owner review.
  • Maintain accounting records, charts of accounts, and client files through data entry and file management.
  • Prepare complex sales and use tax returns, 1099 filings, and financial statements.
  • Monitor client deadlines and ensure compliance with applicable reporting requirements.
  • Communicate accounting processes, issues, and status updates with clients, team members, and partners.
  • Identify risks and concerns in client files and creatively address client data or accounting issues.
  • Develop an understanding of client business practices and collaborate with other Boulay departments.
  • Represent the firm professionally and follow applicable regulations and ethical standards.

Requirements

  • Associate degree in Accounting.
  • 2+ years of related accounting experience.
  • Strong knowledge of general ledger accounting, reconciliations, and month-end and year-end close procedures.
  • Knowledge of GAAP.
  • Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to lead client and team meetings.
  • Ability to analyze client data and creatively solve problems.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting preferred.
  • Experience with QuickBooks Desktop or Online and/or other general ledger software preferred.
