Description

  • Build and own machine learning-powered features that improve the customer app and marketplace experience.
  • Work on customer-facing use cases including search and ranking, recommendations, segmentation, lifecycle modelling, lead scoring, and personalization.
  • Shape ambiguous product ideas into clearly defined data science problems.
  • Develop models, run experiments, deploy production systems, and monitor their performance.
  • Contribute to data pipelines and partner with engineers on real-time systems.
  • Ensure models are robust, scalable, and measurable against business KPIs such as conversion, retention, and revenue.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Engineering, Marketing, and Pricing.
  • Communicate technical trade-offs, findings, and business impact clearly to stakeholders.
  • Operate with end-to-end ownership across modelling, delivery, and production support.

Requirements

  • Proven experience delivering machine learning solutions end to end in production, ideally in a marketplace or customer-facing product environment.
  • Strong experience with behavioural and customer data, including segmentation, lifecycle modelling, scoring, search, or recommendation systems.
  • Strong Python and SQL skills, with the ability to work across modelling and data preparation.
  • Experience working with cloud platforms, with GCP preferred and AWS also welcome.
  • Understanding of how data pipelines are built and maintained.
  • Demonstrated ability to define problems clearly, engage stakeholders, and communicate impact in commercial environments.
  • Conversational-level English language skills are required.
  • Experience applying NLP and LLMs to real product use cases is a plus.
  • Experience working with real-time or near real-time systems is preferred.
  • Exposure to pricing or marketing optimisation problems is a plus.
