Description

  • Architect, develop, and deploy machine learning systems to production, with primary use cases in chatbots and search.
  • Design and execute experiments to validate model and product improvements.
  • Analyze structured and unstructured, observational and experimental data to improve existing models or create new ones.
  • Develop and test LLM-powered applications, including prompt testing, agent evaluation, guardrails assessment, and proof-of-concept validation for generative AI features.
  • Participate in Data Science chapter activities such as guilds, design reviews, and demos.
  • Contribute to discussions and decisions that shape the broader Data Science team.
  • Collaborate with product squads and cross-functional partners to deliver features and improve the customer experience.

Requirements

  • At least 3+ years of experience applying data science and building machine learning models.
  • Expert knowledge of machine learning concepts such as regression, classification, clustering, neural networks, feature selection, cross-validation, bias-variance tradeoff, and model explainability.
  • Good understanding of the engineering challenges involved in deploying machine learning systems to production.
  • Proficiency in Python.
  • Some knowledge or experience with deep learning.
  • Experience providing technical guidance or leadership to other data scientists.
  • Excellent written and verbal technical communication skills.
  • Good English skills, both verbal and written, are mandatory.
  • MSc. in machine learning, data science, information retrieval, ranking systems, recommender systems, natural language processing, or a related field, or an undergraduate degree plus extensive experience.
  • Experience with applied generative AI, including AI agents, prompt engineering, LLM fine-tuning (LoRA, QLoRA, PEFT), LLM routing, monitoring, and guardrails, is preferred.
  • Experience working at fast-growing startups is preferred.
