Description

  • Design end-to-end architectures for large, complex systems in AWS.
  • Define low-latency service architectures with explicit p95/p99 latency budgets.
  • Design audit, evidence, event-log, versioning, and deterministic replay systems.
  • Architect secure multi-tenant environments using appropriate data-isolation strategies.
  • Design and build scalable RESTful APIs and SDK integrations.
  • Establish technical standards, conduct architecture and code reviews, and mentor engineering teams.
  • Create architecture documentation, diagrams, and technical decision records.
  • Present and defend architecture decisions during client engineering and security reviews.
  • Develop capacity models and cloud cost/performance projections.
  • Define outage, fail-open, fail-closed, and degraded-state behavior.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of professional software development experience, including 3+ years in an architecture-focused role.
  • Deep experience with AWS, PostgreSQL/AuroraDB, and Row-Level Security.
  • Strong expertise in Node.js, TypeScript, and JavaScript across the stack.
  • Expertise designing scalable RESTful APIs and service integrations.
  • Experience with latency budgets, synchronous durable commits, event-driven systems, queues, caching, and search projections.
  • Experience architecting secure multi-tenant systems and evaluating RLS, schema-per-tenant, and database-per-tenant models.
  • Experience with compliance-sensitive or regulated domains preferred.
  • Experience establishing technical standards, reviewing architectures and code, mentoring teams, and producing ADRs.
  • Experience using AI coding assistants in daily development.
  • Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred.
  • Ability to overlap US business hours.
  • Strong technical leadership, problem-solving, accountability, client focus, attention to detail, and adherence to best practices.
