Description

  • Design end-to-end service architectures and scalable RESTful APIs in AWS.
  • Define latency budgets, durable commit strategies, and distributed-system tradeoffs.
  • Architect audit, evidence, event-log, versioning, and deterministic replay systems.
  • Design multi-tenant security models using PostgreSQL/AuroraDB and Row-Level Security.
  • Define fail-open, fail-closed, degraded-state, and outage-response semantics.
  • Architect SDK integrations and event-driven, queue, caching, and search components.
  • Establish technical standards, conduct architecture and code reviews, and mentor engineering teams.
  • Create architecture diagrams, documentation, and architecture decision records.
  • Present and defend architecture decisions during client engineering and security reviews.
  • Build capacity models and AWS cost/performance projections.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of professional software development experience, including 3+ years in architecture-focused roles.
  • Substantial experience architecting complex systems end to end.
  • Deep AWS experience designing low-latency architectures and applying the AWS Well-Architected Framework.
  • Experience designing to explicit p95/p99 latency budgets, including synchronous durable commits.
  • Experience with audit/evidence systems, append-only logs, versioned or bitemporal models, and historical replay.
  • Experience architecting secure multi-tenant environments and evaluating RLS, schema-per-tenant, and database-per-tenant approaches.
  • Deep PostgreSQL/AuroraDB and Row-Level Security expertise at the data-modeling and architecture level.
  • Expertise in Node.js, TypeScript, JavaScript, scalable REST APIs, and SDK integrations.
  • Strong technical leadership, problem-solving, ownership, accountability, documentation, and review skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree and regulated-domain experience preferred; ability to overlap US business hours required.
