Description

  • Manage, maintain, and potentially take full technical ownership of client digital platforms built on Magento 2 and WordPress.
  • Ensure stability and reliability of the existing Magento instance.
  • Handle WordPress integrations, including custom themes, hooks, and plugin-related work.
  • Audit, inherit, and optimize existing codebases while documenting technical debt and legacy systems.
  • Execute seamless deployments and support the transition of technical responsibilities.
  • Optimize database performance and caching layers to support high-traffic e-commerce and content workloads.
  • Integrate Magento and WordPress with external ERPs, CRMs, and marketing tools through APIs.
  • Work within Linux-based server environments and support staging-to-production release workflows.
  • Apply security best practices, including PCI compliance, Magento patching, and WordPress hardening.

Requirements

  • Deep hands-on experience with Magento 2.x, including architecture, EAV models, and UI components.
  • Strong experience with WordPress, including custom themes, hooks, and plugin development.
  • Proficiency in PHP 8.x and object-oriented programming.
  • Solid knowledge of Composer and PSR standards.
  • Experience optimizing MySQL queries and working with Redis, Varnish, and Elasticsearch.
  • Proficiency in HTML5, CSS (SASS/LESS), and JavaScript.
  • Experience with Magento frontend technologies such as Knockout.js and RequireJS is a strong plus.
  • Experience working with REST and GraphQL APIs to connect platforms with external systems.
  • Strong understanding of Git, staging-to-production workflows, and Linux server environments such as Nginx or Apache.
  • Knowledge of PCI compliance, Magento security patching, and WordPress hardening.
  • Adobe Certified Professional (Magento) or similar certification is preferred.
