Description

  • Manage, maintain, and potentially take full technical ownership of clients’ digital ecosystem across Magento 2 and WordPress.
  • Ensure the stability and ongoing performance of the current Magento instance.
  • Manage WordPress integrations, including custom themes, hooks, and plugin-related work.
  • Execute seamless deployments and support the transition of technical responsibilities.
  • Audit, inherit, and optimize existing codebases while identifying and documenting technical debt.
  • Build and maintain PHP-based solutions using modern object-oriented practices.
  • Optimize database queries and support caching and search performance across the stack.
  • Connect Magento and WordPress with external systems such as ERPs, CRMs, and marketing tools through APIs.
  • Work within staging-to-production deployment workflows and Linux-based server environments.
  • Apply security and compliance best practices to protect customer and business data.

Requirements

  • Deep, hands-on experience with Magento 2.x, including architecture, EAV models, and UI components.
  • Deep, hands-on experience with WordPress, including custom themes, hooks, and plugin development.
  • Strong proficiency in PHP 8.x and object-oriented programming.
  • Solid understanding of Composer and PSR standards.
  • Experience optimizing MySQL queries.
  • Experience with high-performance caching and search technologies such as Redis, Varnish, and Elasticsearch.
  • Proficiency in HTML5, CSS (SASS/LESS), and JavaScript.
  • Specific experience with Magento frontend technologies such as Knockout.js and RequireJS is a strong plus.
  • Experience working with REST and GraphQL APIs to integrate with external business tools.
  • Solid understanding of Git, staging-to-production workflows, and Linux server environments such as Nginx or Apache.
  • Knowledge of PCI compliance, Magento security patching, and WordPress hardening techniques.
  • Adobe Certified Professional (Magento) or a similar certification is preferred.
