Description

  • Collaborate with developers, product owners, managers, and business stakeholders to define and deliver new product features and platform improvements.
  • Independently lead projects through the full development lifecycle: project definition, development, debugging, initial release, and subsequent iteration.
  • Design, build, and maintain backend and frontend components for enterprise-level, scalable, supportable, and maintainable applications.
  • Implement and maintain automated continuous integration and delivery pipelines (e.g., Jenkins).
  • Refactor and continuously improve object-oriented code and architecture using Agile development practices.
  • Ensure appropriate service design and data storage/access models for computationally intensive back-end development.
  • Operate with integrity and contribute to an open, collaborative team environment.
  • Serve as a consultant across multiple client projects, adapting solutions to client needs and accelerating delivery.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or similar technical discipline, or equivalent work experience.
  • 5+ years of experience as a Full-Stack Software Developer, Software Engineer, or similar role using open-source technologies.
  • Strong experience with Python (Django, Flask, SQLAlchemy).
  • Frontend experience with JavaScript frameworks such as React (familiarity with Knockout is a plus).
  • Experience with databases and keyed storage: PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Redis, and ORMs.
  • Familiarity with dev tools and platforms: Git, Docker, AWS, Jenkins (and familiarity with Vagrant, Fabric).
  • Experience designing computationally intensive back-end systems, service design, and data storage/access models.
  • Strong software engineering fundamentals including object-oriented design, data structures, algorithms, and writing testable code; comfortable with Agile and refactoring.
  • Experience in SaaS products and working effectively in corporate settings is desired; B2B financial services or alternative asset management experience is a plus.
  • Located in or able to work remotely from Latin America (e.g., Culiacán, Sinaloa, Mexico).
