Description

  • Collaborate with developers, product owners, managers, and business stakeholders to define and deliver new product features and improvements.
  • Drive projects end-to-end: project definition, development, debugging, initial release and subsequent iterations.
  • Design and build enterprise-level, scalable, supportable, and maintainable backend and full-stack solutions.
  • Work independently with guidance from senior technology leaders while contributing in a collaborative, open environment.
  • Create, maintain, and improve continuous integration and deployment workflows (e.g., Jenkins) and development toolchains.
  • Continuously refactor and improve object-oriented code and systems using Agile development practices.
  • Participate in technical design decisions around data storage, service design, and modern web development frameworks.
  • Deliver consultancy-style client work across multiple projects, ensuring work has direct impact on client business outcomes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or similar technical discipline, or equivalent work experience.
  • 5+ years’ experience as a Full-Stack Software Developer / Software Engineer using open-source technologies.
  • Strong experience with Python and frameworks such as Django and Flask; familiarity with SQLAlchemy.
  • Proven frontend experience with JavaScript frameworks, specifically React (Knockout experience noted as relevant).
  • Experience with databases and keyed storage including PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and Redis, and use of ORMs.
  • Experience creating and maintaining fully automated CI tools and pipelines (Jenkins).
  • Familiarity with development and deployment tooling: Git, Vagrant, Fabric, Docker, AWS.
  • Solid software engineering fundamentals: object-oriented design, data structures, algorithms, and writing testable code.
  • Comfort with computationally intense backend development, service design, and data access models.
  • Experience in SaaS products and corporate settings is desired; B2B financial services or alternative asset management experience is a plus.
  • Located in or eligible to work remotely from Latin America (posting lists Puebla City, Mexico).
