Description

  • Collaborate with developers, product owners, managers, and business stakeholders to define and implement new product features and platform improvements.
  • Own projects from initial concept through definition, development, debugging, initial release, and subsequent iterations.
  • Design and implement full‑stack solutions, including computationally intensive back-end services, service design, and data access models.
  • Build enterprise-level software ensuring scalability, supportability, and maintainability.
  • Continuously refactor and improve object-oriented code using Agile development practices and testable code standards.
  • Create and maintain automated continuous integration and delivery pipelines (e.g., Jenkins) to support releases.
  • Operate independently with guidance from senior technology leaders while working collaboratively in an open, supportive environment.
  • Serve as a consultant on a variety of client projects, adapting solutions to client needs and business contexts.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or similar technical discipline, or equivalent work experience.
  • 5+ years of experience as a Full-Stack Software Developer, Software Engineer, or similar role using open source technologies.
  • Strong experience with Python and back-end development.
  • Experience with web frameworks such as Django and Flask and ORMs like SQLAlchemy.
  • Experience with front-end JavaScript frameworks, notably React (experience with Knockout is a plus).
  • Experience with databases and keyed storage including PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and Redis.
  • Familiarity with development and DevOps tools such as Git, Vagrant, Fabric, Docker, AWS, and Jenkins.
  • Strong software engineering fundamentals: object-oriented design, data structures, algorithms, and writing testable code.
  • Experience working on SaaS products is desired; B2B financial services or alternative asset management experience is a plus.
  • Comfort working remotely from Latin America and collaborating across distributed teams.
