Description

  • Collaborate with developers, product owners, managers, and business stakeholders to define and implement new product features and platform improvements.
  • Drive projects independently through all development cycles: project definition, development, debugging, initial release, and subsequent iterations.
  • Design and build enterprise-level solutions with a focus on scalability, supportability, and maintainability.
  • Develop and maintain back-end services, data storage/access models, and modern web frontend components as part of full-stack development.
  • Create, maintain, and operate fully automated continuous integration pipelines and related tooling (e.g., Jenkins).
  • Continuously refactor and improve object-oriented code using Agile development methods and best practices for testable code.
  • Operate with integrity and collaborate openly within teams to support a productive, supportive engineering environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or similar technical discipline, or equivalent work experience.
  • 5+ years of experience as a Full-Stack Software Developer, Software Engineer, or similar role using open source technologies.
  • Strong experience with Python and server-side development.
  • Comfort with full-stack software development, including computationally intensive back-end development, service design, and modern web frameworks.
  • Experience with continuous integration tools and automation (e.g., Jenkins).
  • Solid software engineering fundamentals including object-oriented design, data structures, algorithms, and writing testable code.
  • Experience with databases and ORMs (PostgreSQL, MongoDB, SQLAlchemy or similar) and keyed storage (Redis).
  • Familiarity with frontend frameworks and JavaScript tooling (React, Knockout or similar) and typical dev tools (Git, Docker, AWS).
  • Experience working on SaaS products and comfort operating effectively in a corporate client-facing consulting environment; B2B financial services or alternative asset management experience is a plus.
  • Remote work capability; role is targeted to candidates in Latin America.
