Description

  • Collaborate with developers, product owners, managers, and business stakeholders to define and craft new product features and platform improvements.
  • Design, implement, and maintain full-stack features including computationally intensive back-end services, service design, and modern web frontends.
  • Own projects through all development cycles: project definition, development, debugging, initial release, and subsequent iteration.
  • Build enterprise-level solutions that prioritize scalability, supportability, and maintainability.
  • Create and maintain fully automated continuous integration and delivery workflows (e.g., Jenkins) and related tooling.
  • Continuously refactor and improve object-oriented codebases following Agile development practices and testable-code principles.
  • Operate with a high degree of independence while coordinating with senior technology leaders and peers.
  • Work collaboratively in an open, supportive environment and communicate progress and technical decisions to stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or similar technical discipline, or equivalent work experience.
  • 5+ years of experience as a Full-Stack Software Developer, Software Engineer, or similar role using open-source technologies.
  • Strong experience with Python and frameworks such as Django and Flask; experience with SQLAlchemy.
  • Proficiency with front-end JavaScript frameworks (React; experience with Knockout is a plus).
  • Experience with databases and keyed storage including PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Redis, and ORMs.
  • Familiarity with developer and deployment tools such as Git, Vagrant, Fabric, Docker, AWS, and Jenkins.
  • Experience creating and maintaining fully automated CI tools and pipelines (e.g., Jenkins).
  • Strong software engineering fundamentals: object-oriented design, data structures, algorithms, and writing testable code.
  • Experience with SaaS products and comfort working in a corporate setting is desired; B2B financial services or alternative asset management experience is a plus.
