Description

  • Collaborate with developers, product owners, managers, and business stakeholders to define and implement new product features and platform improvements.
  • Independently drive projects with support from senior technology leaders, taking ownership of technical delivery and decisions.
  • Bring projects from initial concept through definition, development, debugging, initial release, and subsequent iterations.
  • Design and build enterprise-level, scalable, supportable, and maintainable full-stack solutions.
  • Implement and improve backend services, data storage/access models, and modern web front-end components as needed.
  • Develop and maintain automated continuous integration and delivery processes.
  • Continuously refactor and improve object-oriented code and participate in Agile development practices.
  • Work collaboratively and operate with integrity in an open, supportive team environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or similar technical discipline, or equivalent work experience.
  • 5+ years experience as a Full-Stack Software Developer, Software Engineer, or similar role using open source technologies.
  • Strong experience with Python and web frameworks (examples listed: Django, Flask, SQLAlchemy).
  • Comfort with full-stack development including computationally intensive back-end development, service design, and data storage/access models.
  • Experience with relational and NoSQL databases (examples listed: PostgreSQL, MongoDB) and keyed storage (Redis).
  • Experience creating and maintaining fully automated CI tools and pipelines (example: Jenkins).
  • Strong software engineering fundamentals: object-oriented design, data structures, testable code, and algorithms.
  • Familiarity with front-end technologies (examples listed: React, Knockout) and common dev tools (Git, Docker, AWS, Vagrant, Fabric).
  • Experience in SaaS products and working effectively in a corporate setting is desired; B2B financial services or alternative asset management experience is a plus.
  • Ability to operate with a large degree of independence and collaborate effectively across distributed teams (remote, Latin America).
