Description

  • Collaborate with developers, product owners, managers, and business stakeholders to define and build new product features and platform improvements.
  • Lead projects from initial concept through project definition, development, debugging, initial release, and subsequent iteration.
  • Design and implement scalable, supportable, and maintainable enterprise-level solutions.
  • Operate with a large degree of independence while coordinating with senior technology leaders and cross-functional teams.
  • Participate in Agile development processes and continuously refactor and improve object-oriented code.
  • Contribute across the full stack: backend service design, computationally intense backend development, data storage/access models, and modern web front-ends.
  • Ensure code quality through testing, debugging, and maintaining automated continuous integration and deployment pipelines.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or similar technical discipline, or equivalent work experience.
  • 5+ years experience as a Full-Stack Software Developer, Software Engineer, or similar role using open source technologies.
  • Strong experience with Python and frameworks such as Django and Flask.
  • Experience with front-end JavaScript frameworks (React; Knockout is a plus).
  • Experience with databases and ORMs, including PostgreSQL, SQLAlchemy; familiarity with MongoDB and Redis.
  • Experience creating and maintaining fully automated CI tools like Jenkins and familiarity with Docker, Git, AWS; Vagrant and Fabric are advantageous.
  • Strong software engineering fundamentals: object-oriented design, data structures, algorithms, and writing testable code.
  • Experience in SaaS products and comfort working effectively in a corporate setting is desired; B2B financial services or alternative asset management experience is a plus.
  • Ability to work remotely in Latin America (listing includes Huancayo, Peru) and operate independently.
