Description

  • Collaborate with developers, product owners, managers, and business stakeholders to define and implement new product features and platform improvements.
  • Take projects from initial concept through definition, development, debugging, initial release, and subsequent iteration with a large degree of independence.
  • Design and build enterprise-level, scalable, supportable, and maintainable full-stack solutions.
  • Perform computationally intensive back-end development, service design, and data storage/access modeling.
  • Develop modern web front-end features and integrate them with backend services.
  • Create, maintain, and operate fully automated continuous integration pipelines and related tooling.
  • Continuously refactor and improve object-oriented code within Agile development processes.
  • Work as a consultant across a variety of client projects, collaborating with teams of experienced professionals.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or similar technical discipline, or equivalent work experience.
  • 5+ years of experience as a Full-Stack Software Developer, Software Engineer, or similar role using open source technologies.
  • Strong experience with Python and frameworks such as Django and Flask.
  • Experience with ORMs and SQL databases (e.g., SQLAlchemy, PostgreSQL) and key-value/document stores (e.g., Redis, MongoDB).
  • Experience with front-end JavaScript frameworks/libraries such as React and Knockout.
  • Experience creating and maintaining fully automated CI tooling, e.g., Jenkins.
  • Familiarity with developer tools and infrastructure including Git, Vagrant, Fabric, Docker, AWS, and Jenkins.
  • Strong software engineering fundamentals including object-oriented design, data structures, testable code, and algorithms.
  • Comfort with SaaS-based products and working effectively in a corporate/client-facing setting (desired).
  • Experience in B2B financial services or alternative asset management is a plus.
