Description

  • Collaborate with developers, product owners, managers, and business stakeholders to define and implement new product features and platform improvements.
  • Operate with a large degree of independence and coordinate with senior technology leaders to deliver project outcomes.
  • Drive projects end-to-end from project definition through development, debugging, initial release, and subsequent iterations.
  • Design and build enterprise-level solutions that ensure scalability, supportability, and maintainability.
  • Develop backend services, service design, and data storage/access models while contributing to modern web front-end features.
  • Create, maintain, and improve fully automated continuous integration and delivery pipelines (e.g., Jenkins).
  • Continuously refactor and improve object-oriented code through Agile development practices.
  • Work collaboratively and ethically within an open, supportive team environment to meet client needs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree or higher in Computer Science or similar technical discipline, or equivalent work experience.
  • 5+ years of experience as a Full-Stack Software Developer, Software Engineer, or similar role using open source technologies.
  • Strong experience with Python and backend development (Django, Flask, SQLAlchemy).
  • Comfort with full-stack development including backend design, data storage/access models, and modern web frameworks and front-end work (React, Knockout).
  • Experience creating and maintaining automated CI tools like Jenkins and familiarity with Dev tools (Git, Docker, Vagrant, Fabric).
  • Familiarity with databases and keyed storage such as PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and Redis.
  • Strong software engineering fundamentals including object-oriented design, data structures, testable code, and algorithms; proclivity for refactoring and continuous improvement in Agile teams.
  • Experience in SaaS products and working effectively in a corporate setting is desired; B2B financial services or alternative asset management experience is a plus; role is remote for candidates in Latin America (Lima, Peru noted).
