Description

  • Collaborate with developers, product owners, managers, and business stakeholders to define and implement new product features and platform improvements.
  • Operate with a large degree of independence and take ownership of deliverables while coordinating with senior technology leaders.
  • Lead projects through the full development lifecycle: project definition, development, debugging, initial release, and iterative improvements.
  • Design and build enterprise-level solutions that ensure scalability, supportability, and maintainability.
  • Implement full-stack features including computationally intensive back-end services, service design, and data storage/access models.
  • Create and maintain fully automated continuous integration pipelines and related tooling (e.g., Jenkins).
  • Continuously refactor and improve object-oriented code and maintain testable code using Agile development practices.
  • Serve as a consultant on a variety of client projects, delivering work that has direct business impact for clients.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science or similar technical discipline, or equivalent work experience.
  • 5+ years of experience as a Full-Stack Software Developer, Software Engineer, or similar role using open source technologies.
  • Strong experience with Python and comfort with full-stack software development, including back-end development and service design.
  • Experience with modern web frameworks and data storage/access models (e.g., Django, Flask, ORMs).
  • Familiarity with databases and keyed storage such as PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and Redis.
  • Experience creating and maintaining fully automated CI/CD pipelines and tools like Jenkins.
  • Solid software engineering fundamentals including object-oriented design, data structures, testable code, and algorithms.
  • Comfort working in a SaaS-based product environment and effectively within a corporate setting (desired).
  • B2B financial services or alternative asset management experience is a plus.
  • Ability to work remotely from Latin America (role listed for Latin America / Panama City, Panama).
