Description

  • Design and develop low-latency, scalable RESTful API services in AWS.
  • Build secure multi-tenant application environments and database systems.
  • Integrate SDKs and external services into application architectures.
  • Develop and maintain CI/CD applications and workflows.
  • Write raw SQL and manage database schemas and migrations.
  • Implement comprehensive testing, including integration, database, failure-mode, and fault-injection tests.
  • Contribute to frontend development with React when needed.
  • Collaborate with clients and team members to deliver high-quality solutions.
  • Take ownership and accountability for project deliverables and commitments.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of professional backend-focused software development experience.
  • Strong professional experience with Node.js, TypeScript, and JavaScript.
  • Experience with AWS, low-latency services, and scalable RESTful APIs.
  • Experience with PostgreSQL or AuroraDB, including Row-Level Security.
  • Experience with secure multi-tenant systems, raw SQL, and schema migration tools such as node-postgres or node-pg-migrate.
  • Professional experience with React and full-stack development.
  • Strong testing practices, including integration testing against real databases and fault-injection testing.
  • Experience using AI coding assistants in daily development.
  • Experience creating and maintaining CI/CD applications.
  • Experience working with large, complex systems; substantial compliance-sensitive or audit-heavy domain experience is preferred.
  • Experience with append-only, event-sourced, or bitemporal data models is preferred.
  • Experience with Fastify, schema-first validation such as Zod, and AWS Fargate/ECS is preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Ability to overlap with US business hours.
  • Strong problem-solving, attention to detail, ownership, accountability, and client-focused collaboration.
