Description

  • Analyze polling, survey, and other client data to identify trends, insights, and strategic takeaways.
  • Build crosstabs, calculators, reports, and other analysis tools that support client solutions.
  • Develop and maintain data infrastructure needed to power analyses and reporting.
  • Prepare client-facing materials that clearly summarize findings for technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Present findings to clients and stakeholders and respond to questions about methodology and results.
  • Collaborate closely with analysts, data scientists, client teams, and other internal partners.
  • Mentor analysts or fellows and support their growth and development.
  • Create maps and visualizations using GIS and business intelligence tools.
  • Perform other reasonable tasks assigned by management.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field with a statistical background, or 2+ years of experience analyzing data and building reports.
  • Experience manipulating data to identify clear insights, including on tight deadlines and in unstructured or open-ended problem settings.
  • Understanding of statistical concepts and the ability to interpret and explain results to non-analysts.
  • Experience using SQL and statistical and/or spreadsheet software.
  • Experience creating reports and working with data visualization and business intelligence tools.
  • Experience with GIS mapping tools such as QGIS or ArcGIS.
  • Experience with programming languages such as Python and SQL.
  • Experience with spreadsheet and presentation software such as Excel, Google Sheets, PowerPoint, and Keynote.
  • Strong attention to detail and an eye for design.
  • Interest in using data-driven solutions to improve social outcomes.
