Description

  • Own the end-to-end accounts payable cycle across corporate, fund, and project entities.
  • Process invoices, subcontractor billings, and employee expenses with accurate entity, project, and job-cost coding.
  • Prepare weekly ACH, check, and wire payment runs and maintain vendor compliance documentation.
  • Track contractor commitments, change orders, retainage, billings, and remaining budgets across projects.
  • Review AIA pay applications against schedules of values and prior billings before payment.
  • Reconcile job costs, commitment ledgers, bank accounts, balance sheets, and intercompany balances.
  • Prepare journal entries, support month-end close, and issue development management fee invoices.
  • Monitor cash positions, assist with accounts receivable and payroll entries, and provide documentation for audits, tax filings, lenders, and investors.

Requirements

  • Must be based in Mexico City.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • 2–4 years of accounting experience, including hands-on accounts payable ownership.
  • Working knowledge of US GAAP and full-cycle month-end close procedures.
  • Experience with Bill.com and Intuit Enterprise Suite preferred; QuickBooks Online may substitute for Intuit Enterprise Suite.
  • Construction or real estate development accounting experience preferred, including AIA pay applications, change orders, retainage, and lien waivers.
  • Experience with multi-entity accounting, intercompany billing, and committed-cost tracking preferred.
  • Strong Excel skills, including pivot tables, lookups, and large datasets.
  • Excellent English communication, attention to detail, organization, and ability to manage high invoice volume.
  • CPA/CA certification or progress toward it is preferred.
