Description

  • Define and execute the technology strategy and roadmap for BCI projects and initiatives.
  • Build, lead, and manage the Emerging Technology Division and Standards Development Bureau.
  • Hire, train, mentor, and evaluate team members.
  • Research and identify suitable data sets and AI models for BCI use cases.
  • Design, develop, test, and deploy applications using DLT/Blockchain, IoT, AI, machine learning, data science, and data modelling.
  • Ensure the quality, reliability, security, and scalability of technology products and services.
  • Monitor and evaluate technology performance and impact, and recommend improvements.
  • Communicate and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including partners, sponsors, donors, and beneficiaries.
  • Generate strategic partnership opportunities and represent BCI at conferences and events.
  • Conduct research, onboard and train team members, and execute proof-of-concepts and pilots.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of professional experience in DLT/Blockchain, AI, Machine Learning, Data Science, Data Modelling, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in programming blockchain applications is essential.
  • Proficiency in programming AI algorithms is desirable.
  • Strong technical skills with programming languages, frameworks, and tools such as Solidity, Python, R, TensorFlow, PyTorch, and Scikit-learn.
  • Familiarity with data sources, formats, and standards such as APIs, JSON, XML, and CSV.
  • Experience developing and deploying applications on cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
  • Experience leading and managing technology teams and projects, including agile methodologies, budgeting, reporting, and documentation.
  • Excellent oral, written, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently, manage competing demands, meet tight deadlines, and build constructive stakeholder relationships.
  • Average availability of 20 hours per week with flexible commitment.
  • Fluent in English; a second language is desirable.
  • Experience with open-source GitHub projects is desirable.
  • Passion and knowledge of climate and sustainability issues and solutions.
