Description

  • Manage a portfolio of approximately 50 mid-market sellers.
  • Retain and grow accounts through use-case expansion, cross-sell opportunities, and customized onboarding experiences.
  • Identify customer needs and translate them into technical Square solutions.
  • Project manage the execution of technical solutions with cross-functional teams.
  • Negotiate contracts to support expansion and retention of seller accounts.
  • Serve as the voice of upmarket sellers with product teams.
  • Provide white-glove client service and resolve seller issues.
  • Inform operations and program design for the segment at scale.
  • Work collaboratively with internal partners across product, engineering, finance, implementation, marketing, legal, and sales.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of account management or sales experience.
  • Experience managing high-value technical accounts.
  • Consistent over-performance on key metrics.
  • Experience in the retail industry.
  • Ability to conduct requirements gathering within a technical solutioning framework.
  • Proven experience managing projects internally with engineering, product, and finance teams.
  • Experience negotiating contracts and/or pricing with external senior stakeholders.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong discovery skills with customers.
  • Creative, strategic problem-solving ability in ambiguous situations.
  • Growth mindset, positive outlook, empathy, and a collaborative approach.
  • Experience working with and presenting to C-level executives, IT, finance, and operations leaders.
  • Background in account management, business development, consulting, partnerships, sales, or sales engineering is preferred.
