Description

  • Collaborate with fellow mobile developers to design, develop, test, and release high-quality iOS and Android apps.
  • Work on small cross-functional teams with engineering, product, and creative to deliver products that serve millions of users.
  • Ensure products work correctly through testing, continuous integration, and in-depth code reviews.
  • Create interactions and APIs that promote trust, increase security, and make it harder to do the wrong thing.
  • Contribute to the success and delivery of your team’s projects and development lifecycle.
  • Envision and propose new products, features, and user flows that are thoughtful and user-centered.
  • Participate in maintaining app quality, performance, and reliability across the mobile stack.

Requirements

  • Pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Math, or a related technical field, graduating between May 2027 and May 2030 (or recent bootcamp/engineering program graduates within three months of completion).
  • Previous internship or project experience building Android or iOS applications.
  • Programming experience in one or more object-oriented languages such as Kotlin, Swift, Java, or Python.
  • Willingness to work on small, cross-functional teams and collaborate with product and creative partners.
  • Familiarity or interest in the technologies Block uses and teaches: Kotlin, Swift, Java, Python, and Ruby.
  • Experience or familiarity with testing practices, continuous integration, and participating in code reviews (preferred).
  • Interest in solving hard product and engineering problems and contributing to outstanding software.
